Patrons were invited to try to guess and identify the different story book characters. Parents and their children were walking around the library looking for the staff so they could fill out their entry forms. Each staff member was wearing a number so patrons could identify them on the entry form. This contest was open to all ages. There will be prize drawings among the entries by age group, ranging from two year olds to adults. Winners will be notified tomorrow. The library's website states that the prizes are books donated by the Friends of Central and Bull Run Libraries.
My girls and I had a lot of fun seeing the staff dressed in the different costumes. Sweet Girl and Love Bug were actually shy to see familiar faces all dressed up. My favorites were Sponge Bob and Cinderella. Sweet Girl liked Bob the Builder and Cat in the Hat. Love Bug seemed to like Fancy Nancy and Sponge Bob. All of the costumes were great though. Candace told me that each staff member got to chose what character they wanted to dress up as. Talk about a fun place to work!
We are very thankful for all of our librarians. They are always helpful and friendly and make coming to the library exciting!
I didn't get to take pictures of everyone, but below are the ones I did get.
