Last year, McLean Bible Church Prince William Campus held "The Rock that Rolled" Family Easter Party for the first time. There were a lot of activities to choose from, but the focus was on the true meaning of Easter, Jesus rising from the dead.
Sweet Girl has literally talked about this event for a year and is very excited about going back this year. She has loved sitting with her resurrection eggs and having me tell her the story of Easter. We had a blast last year and I know the girls will enjoy it again this year. You do have to register in advance for this event. More information can be found here.
All of the activities pictured below are included in the registration cost. Dinner was extra.
Outdoor Activities: There were two moonbounces, an enclosed obstacle course and a mama sheep with her two babies. They also had a cotton candy table--this went very fast!
First stop: Moonbounce

Egg Hunt: Each child got a bag and it was a free for all hunting for candy-filled eggs.
Sweet Girl kept looking for the blue eggs only, so she didn't end up with many eggs.
Resurrection Eggs: Each child was given an egg carton. We made our way through different rooms to collect our eggs to tell the true story of Easter. Each room had a basket of numbered eggs and an symbolic item to go inside. The volunteers would share their station's part of the Easter story and then the child would put the item in his/her egg.

Glitter Tatoos: This was a popular station for kids of all ages. Sweet Girl really wanted one (her first) so we waited in line. Of course she picked blue. :)
Spread the Word Cookies: This station had sugar cookies, icing and sprinkles set out on a table. Each child got to do two cookies. One was for them to keep and one was to share with someone else to spread the message that "Jesus Loves You!"

One to keep, one to share.
Hidden Message Eggs: The hard boiled eggs were prepped ahead of time with Easter messages (written with a wax crayon) for the children to "find" when they dipped the egg into the dye. They had a place for the eggs to dry while the children did other activities.

Indoor Games: I didn't get any pictures of these for some reason, but they had your typical "fair" type games like ducks in a pond, basketball, bean bag toss, etc. Everyone got a prize for trying!
Family Photo Room: They had this backdrop set up for family pictures. There was a table with paper frames for the children to color while you waited for your picture to be printed. We don't have a lot of family pictures, so we were excited for this opportunity and we actually took a good shot!

Easter Show: They started off with some worship music before doing the puppet show. I just LOVE watching children learning about and praising the Lord!
