While some of these events are free, some do require an admission fee. Read the information for each event carefully as they all are different.
So, if you've wondered how tall you would be next to a traffic light or what it would feel like to sit in a dump truck or ever wanted to see the inside of a fire truck up close, these events are for you! Oh, your children would have a blast, too!
A big thanks to Jen for the research on most of these events!
Note: I've heard that the trucks aren't always "spotless" if you know what I mean, so be prepared to get a little dirty!
Big Truck Days will take place Thursday, May 2nd, 9 am - 3 pm and Friday, May 3rd, 9 am - 7 pm at the Public Works Maintenance Complex, 1479 Sterling Road. The event is free; however, attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations for the needy. Large groups should call ahead. Click here to view flyer .

Touch-a-Truck will take place Saturday, May 18th, 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the Chantilly Computer Tutoring Space at the Chantilly Regional Library.
From what I can tell, this event is free, but it appears that you need to register. I can't find where to register, but it says you have to register on this page on the Fairfax County Library website.
