I've seen crafts like this before, but got my inspiration from a pin on Pintrest. No, I am not "on" Pintrest, but came across it when I did an image search. At this time, I am not interested in joining because I know I will spend WAY too much time on it. :)
Supplies Needed: green construction paper, construction paper for star, a background piece of construction paper or card stock, crayons, glue stick and "ornaments" for the tree such as Christmas/winter theme foam stickers, pom-poms, glitter paint, etc
What to do:
- An adult will need to cut the strips of paper in graduated sizes and star ahead of time or draw the lines for older children to cut with their scissors.
- Arrange and glue the paper strips on background paper from longest to shortest. You could also arrange them shortest to longest. Either way, make sure to leave room for the trunk.
- Draw the tree trunk.
- Decorate the tree with stickers, pom-poms, glitter paint, etc.
- Top your tree off with the star.
- Hang for all to see!
