We made a small batch of sugar cookies and a regular batch of chocolate chip cookies. Nothing fancy. Both were mixes, but they were tasty. We had to taste them to make sure they were good, right?! :)
After breakfast, I found Sweet Girl and Love Bug with the library bag open and the books we were planning to return all over the place. How do you tell your children, "No, you can't look at books. Put those away, now!" Seriously though, my girls LOVE books and will look at them, quietly, for an extended period of time. We did end up having to pack up the books so we could get to the library on time.
Sweet Girl was very excited to deliver the cookies. She walked up to the information desk and said, "We have some treats for you!" The librarian looked a little confused and I explained to her that we made Valentine cookies for everyone. She was surprised and very thankful as she read the card we had made.
It felt good to be able to say "thank you" this way to a great bunch of people who truly make a difference in my family's life on a weekly basis. I hope that everyone that ate a cookie that day really felt loved and encouraged because that's what is was all about.
